The Arncliffe Arms is a pub located in the village of Glaisdale, on the Coast2coast path which is situated in the North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire, England, near the town of Whitby. The pub has a long history, dating back to the early 19th century when it was originally a coaching inn, providing accommodation and refreshment for travellers passing through the area. The Arncliffe Arms serves a range of traditional pub grub, including locally sourced meats, fresh fish, vegetarian options and off course the famous Sunday lunch. Our menu changes throughout the year, but you’ll find a good example of our some of our favourite dishes below.
Come and visit our well-stocked bar, featuring a variety of local ales from the finest Yorkshire brewers, wines, and spirits. The bar area has a wide screen TV, pool table and darts area. If you prefer somewhere quiet to dine and chat, the Arncliffe has a large seated area perfect for drinks, dinner or a mid-walk coffee. This area is also popular with our locals for quiz nights and functions.

The Arncliffe Arms, in addition to its role as a popular pub, also offers bed & breakfast accommodation, with six comfortable and well-appointed single, twins and double guest rooms available. All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Some of our rooms also have stunning views of the surrounding countryside and village.
In the morning, guests can enjoy a full English breakfast in the dining area, breakfast is included in the room rate.
